1) The obvious New Year’s resolution would be to not to lose another ball. I have no control over that possibility. The slightly less obvious resolution is this: I’m going to have to work twice as hard.
2) If you have the desire to pray but feel guilty for not doing it often and only when you really need something, then try starting off your prayer with “Thanks.” For example, Thanks for letting me keep my larger ball.
3) Fixation is easily achieved. So far, I’ve only been reflecting on my remaining ball. I must remember to not to check it frantically for lumps every time I take a piss. I also need to talk about something else.
4) I broke up with my girlfriend. It was a long time in the making, and I didn’t want to hold her prisoner by playing the cancer card – what a fucking week.
5) If anger, fear, and sadness are spiraling down into depression, does that mean that forgiveness, courage, and happiness are waiting on the other side?
6) Be careful about feeling sorry for yourself. Other people will start doing the same.
7) I desperately need to feel good about myself… I’m awesome!
8) I can’t stop writing. This has to make sense.
9) Are these reflections getting shorter?
10) Yup. Move on.
